I have gone through hundreds of hair products in attempt to fix damage and embrace my natural look.I am guilty for straightening my hair most days but it is important to embrace your curls and handle them with a little TLC.Below, I provided all of you with my favorite products I like to use for my curls. Last minute halloween costume #2
Hello my beauties!! This egyptian goddess/cleopatra inspired halloween makeup and hair is simple and sure to turn heads. You don't need a black wig to pull this look off, but if you want to wear one go for it! I just added simple dutch braids in my hair to add more of an egyptian vibe!! If you recreate this look, share it with us on social media & hashtag #pearlsand2brokegirls |
Start off with a semi-matt foundation and apply it all over your face and don't forget to blend it down your neck. I used the Covergirl Ready Set Gorgeous Foundation in the shade 105, classic ivory.
Next, you'll want to fill in your eyebrows. Try to go a shade or two darker than your natural brow color! You want to define & shape your eyebrows. To achieve defined eyebrows i used Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder Duo in taupe.
After you fill in your eyebrows, take two pieces of tape and apply them to the back of your hand to get almost all the tackiness off. Then angle the tape under your lower lashes pointing up near the end of your eyebrow! This will ensure that you get a cat-eye shaped eyeshadow and your eyeliner will be perfect.
Once you have your tape where you want it, grab a gold creme eyeshadow base and apply it all over the lower lid up to your crease. I used the Elf Jumbo Eyeshadow Stick in the color Little Miss thing. Then I took a gold eyeshadow out of the Too Face Chocolate Bar Eyeshadow Palette and packed it on over the gold cream base. Next grab a dark brown and apply it to your crease and create a wing shape until you hit your tape.
With the dark brown eyeshadow, sweep it down near the front of your eyebrow and down in the inner corner. Grab your favorite eyeliner and create a winged eyeliner. I used Kat Von D Ink Liner in the color trooper. Next extend your eyeliner towards your inner tear duct! Sweep the gold eyeshadow for your brow bone highlight!
Grab a creamy kohl eyeliner pencil and line your lower lash line. Then grab a black eyeshadow on a pencil brush and smudge the liner you just applied. Apply your favorite mascara and false eyelashes for a more dramatic effect!
Next, contour your cheeks, temples, and jawline. I used grey tone bronzer powder to achieve a more structured face like Cleopatra. I used the The Balm Cosmetics Brozer in Bahama Mama. Then grab a more orange toned bronzer to warm up your complexion. I used the Smashbox Brozed Lights Bronzer. Apply a touch of blush and finish your face look with a golden highlight. I used The Balm Cosmetics Betty Lou Manizer. Apply a stone brown lipstick(Wet N Wild Bare It All Matte Lipstick) then dust the gold eyeshadow used earlier lightly over your lipstick for a golden look!
For the hair, I added in two dutch braids on each side and pulled them out to make it messy. I used a couple of necklaces that I already had as headbands!
To complete this egyptian goddess halloween costume, add gold jewelry and big earrings! If you want to take this costume to its fullest, add a black wig. Also, try adding gold eyeshadow all over your neck and decolletage to embrace your inner goddess!
Share with us if you recreate this halloween look!

Lion Halloween Makeup Tutorial
Need a last minute halloween costume?? We've got you covered! This lion makeup can be paired with a messy hair-do, tan top & tan pants! Hope you enjoy and if you recreate this makeup, share it with us!! Share on instagram with the hashtag #pearlsand2brokegirls
First you'll want to start with applying your foundation, concealer, and then powder to set it all so it doesn't move!
Next, Apply a burnt orange eyeshadow to create a cut-crease. Apply a dark brown shadow underneath the orange to blend it out.
Take a black eyeshadow with an eyeliner brush and carve out the cut crease. Next, apply winged eyeliner for the perfect cat eye! After eyeliner, use a concealer that is two shades lighter than your skin tone and apply it above your top lip all the way up until right under your nose. I like to set the concealer with powder to keep it in place!
Now take your favorite bronzer and apply it to the hollows of your cheeks, temples and down the neck! Then apply blush & highlighter! Don't be afraid to go heavier than normal on the bronzer, it accentuates your lion look... I used a TON of bronzer.
Grab a white eyeshadow and apply it heavily on the lower lash line all the way in to the inner corner of your eyes! Takethe burnt orange and brown eyeshadow and create a cut crease on your lower lash line under the white eyeshadow you just applied.
The last step into creating your fierce lion look, is to shade the tip of your nose with a black eyeliner and then create a straight line going down from the center of your nose until you meet the center of your cupids bow. After, fill in your top lip with a black lipstick or eyeliner & apply nude gloss on the bottom lip. I added some red on the inner part of the bottom lip to really get into character! Now complete your lion makeup with dots around your upper lip!
